Hôtel-casino Golden Nugget : la pépite d'or "The hand of faith" (la main de la foi)
dans le hall d'entrée principal du casino.
"The hand of faith" est une pépite d'or pur trouvée en Australie dans l'État de Victoria
avec un détecteur de métaux le 26 septembre 1980 par Kevin Hillier.
La pépite se trouvait à 30 cm environ dans le sol, dans une position verticale (hauteur : 47 cm).
Cette pépite pèse 27,21 kg. C'est la plus grosse pépite exposée au public dans le monde.
Sa forme rappelle une main avec deux doigts tendus et un pouce replié dans la main.
L'arrière de la pépite est vu grâce à 2 miroirs situés à l'arrière.

"The Hand of Faith Nugget
Found October, 1980 near Weddenburn, Australia.
This magnificent gold nugget, the largest on public display in the world,
was discovered using a metal detector, lying 6 inches below the surface
in a vertical position. It weighs a massive 875 troy onces,
(61 pounds, 11 ounces av.)
A man, who had choosen to remain anonymous, his wife, and four young children
were prospecting behind their modest trailer home when they made this
spectacular find"
