This may seem an ordinary sailing photo, but to me it was pretty special. I was walking along the San Diego Harbor and discovered a beautiful sailboat called Abracadabra. That boat intrigued me and I started reading the signs by it. I came to discover that the same group that owned the Abracadabra also owned the 1994 Stars and Stripes built for Dennis Conner and his attempt on the America's Cup in San Diego in 1995. And, they offered sailing cruises on the Stars and Stripes through San Diego Harbor. I own a little 22-foot sailboat, so the chance to ride on (and steer, too) the 79-foot sailing machine was a dream come true for me. This photo was taken aboard the Stars and Stripes while she plowed across the Bay.
