Glowing Bird Enlarged_042213

In talking to our friends who are either Native American or who have extensive knowledge of the culture, if this is an owl (such as a Barn Owl, which is reported to have luminescence), that's a bad sign! However, after online research and then expert review with the DNR, it was determined to be a Great Egret. This makes sense. It has stick legs. Barn owls have fuzzy legs all the way, but a turkey vulture has stick legs that are black with black feet. The plumage also matches. I would imagine any big white bird might glow at night with any ambient light.
