South Island, New Zealand - January 2005

Aotearoa, better known as New Zealand provided friends and myself a feast for the eyes with its beautiful scenery when we visited the South Island in January 2005.

It was a quick 9 day drive around with highlights of hiking at Hooker Valley, jetboating at Queenstown, a cruise at Milford Sound and glacier hiking at Franz Josef Glacier.

The images below in no way do justice to the fantastic landscape that was the setting for Middle-Earth.
