A smaller town, located off the Pan-American Highway (between Quito and Cuenca), is best known for the local market held in its eight plazas every Thursday. Each plaza has its own 'theme' with particular goods ranging from pots/pans, fruits & vegetables, fish, livestock to artisan products.
From there through the highlands to the Quilotoa Crater.
