Whilst being TOURIST FOR A DAY in Melbourne I took a ride on the free City Circle Tram to the
State Library where I became a member so they could retrieve a book I wanted to look at.

While there I took myself up to the 6th level and down stairs level by level to enjoy different
views of the lovely architecture of the Dome reading room and its antique furniture.

Interestingly, in stark contrast with the old world qualities of the State Library were numerous
people staring at library computer monitors, many looking at Facebook. Old versus modern.
