Grasshoppers - grasshopper photos

Many of these grasshoppers were photographed in Central Australia where
after good rains they were in plaque proportions. They were everywhere.
Walking through grass one's arms and legs would be pelted by them as
they would scatter. Help with identification would be appreciated.
