Central Australia mammals

The only mammals I saw in the wild in Central Australia were Dingoes (Australia's wild dog)
at Kings Canyon and Black-footed Rock Wallabies at Heavitree Gap.

Special mention should go to Dinky the famous singing Dingo at Jim's Place (Stuarts Well) south west of Alice Springs.
Dinky will sometimes jump up on the piano and start howling (singing) if someone plays a tune.
Dinky was nearly 10 at the time of our visit and was rescued from the wild (his parents had been poisoned).
Jim and Dinky very kindly gave us a quick private showing to fit in with our travel plans.

My Central Australia wildlife photos are now found in my extensive Australian Wildlife galleries here on pbase.
