Woodpecker

I have posted a better shot of this bird back in July, however the July shot was a Woodpecker on a feeder, which to be honest is like shooting fish in a barrel. This shot isn't as good technically but its taken out in the woods in the Birds Natural Environment so I'm a lot happier with the end result.

Canon EOS 30D
1/3200s f/8.0 at 500.0mm iso1000 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

How often do you go 'round shooting little fishies in barrels?
Kudos to you with this great capture out in the wild! :)

Well done! Nice to see them in the wild, not that I've seen any around here.

Great image of Woody, its very much like our woodpeckers here...I am always happy to see them either in the garden or the woods(where they happyly tap for hours on the telephone cable poles)...BV

He's a cracker. Agree that getting the wildlife in a natural is always best but I'd be pleased to see this guy on my feeder.
