Bedburn

I had a visit to the forest today to see if I could catch some of that Autumn colour, the sky was washed out so any big Landscapes where out of the question. I settled for this in the end, I'm not sure how it compares to one I took a few years earlier .I prefer the light in the earlier one but I like the darker tone to the water in this one. What do you think.?

Both are top shots Kevin. Love the movement of the water in the newer version.

I'm going to agree and go with the newer, darker shot but on condition that you reprocess it with a warmer WB and slight boost in contrast... :o)

I prefer the top image. The colour is so much more rich and I love the exposure.
Both are very well done!

I like them both, I think the new one tops it for me. I like the smattering of leaves on the rocks and those on the tree in the foreground. If the water had been faster flowing and got more action it would have helped but we cant have everything.

Both images are very well captured, Kevin and have the autumn atmosphere as well.

I like both - the top is more sombre- actually I think it's my favorite .

Archetypal English scene, Kevin.
Beautifully shot, my friend.

Love the bottom image Kevin!

I'd maybe boost the colour slightly but I prefer this to the older one, somehow it just looks more natural.

Yup, could use a sploge more exposure and a pinch or two of warmer white-balances - like ye-olde version - and perhaps a smidgeon more contrast in the water :o)
