Durham City

I have been to this spot a lot this year , my wife wants a picture of Durham for her surgeon who retired this year. He lives in London but has worked in Durham for many years and sees it as his second home.
Yet again the light was poor and the wind was blowing my tripod about. I tried this stitch as an idea for when I do get some good light. If anyone has any ideas on an alternative crop please feel free to suggest.

It looks positively tropical compared to the last day I was there! LOL!

The crop and stitch looks fine - make sure you get a train on the viaduct again!

I think it is lovely as it is Kevin, good job stitching!

Cool shot of a great skyline. I'm with Philip on the tip of taking the shots in Portrait format...worth a try!

It works for me, the finest cityscape in the world. (totally unbiased opinion of course)

What a view. Wonderful detail and depth. Spot on color.

I would crop it tighter to get rid if the grass and path, if you prefer to keep the format then clone the trees a few times and blur them in the foreground to shorten the DOF and draw attention to the city beyond.
That's me photoshopping instead of photographing again.

I agree, 'tis a grand shot - that bottom bit does give you a bit too much of the wibbly-wobbly feel from the crop/stitch.
Did you take the pics in landscape? If you did them in portrait, you might get away with a longer focal length reducing the distortions?

I'm with Colin - I like this as is Kevin...you've even got a train going over the viaduct! If I was being picky (which I'm not!) I might lose the bottom 1/6th - there's quite a lot of green there not doing very much, but apart from that it's a top shot! V

Nice range of colour on the blackberries also.
