New Year's Day - Andover, MA

My hometown - I wanted to "explore" it with a camera, trying to find unusual views that also evoke sense of place... I thought New Year's Day would be an interesting time to explore. I left the house early (just as the sun was starting to light up the morning) to see what I could find.

Some of my pleasant surprises: outdoor tables at a cafe bordered by snow, a commuter train to Boston rumbling by at 7:30 am, a half-frozen/half-tumbling river, old mill buildings, interesting views from up high (as the leafless trees allow for more visibility...), architectural details... It was a fun way to really "see" my hometown.
