the old house sighs and groans
under the burden
of it’s decline.
Love has been made
tears have been shed
Children voices sung a song
elders playing an accordion
The camphor tree once a seed
still stands there
and has survived the family
who planted her.
This characteristic house has not been yet
sacrificed to progress.
