I wrote this poem

Silk

Silk is such a delicate fabric
creating beauty,
once detracted from the
from the cocoon
in a long thread.

She is the unknown
at the fashion catwalks
in Paris, Milan or London.

She works many hours
above steaming hot water
retrieving the cocoons
from the diluents
for a little pay.
