12 Wood

Melbourne, Australia

The bush regenerates slowly from it scars caused by the bushfires.
It will take years before the seedpods develop into big trees.
Meanwhile the naked trunks create their own sculptures in the bush.

What a great lesson --- life regenerates itself, but does so very slowly. Patience is a must in all things. Wonderful photo!

Like ghost trees rising above the new growth as if nature wants you to remember. Wonderful image. V.

A very striking image. The trunks remindd me of stilts - all that's missing is the walker.

Nice contrast between the scarred wood and the pretty blue sky.

Silent sentinels to the fire.

This reminds me of a fire scene I saw in Post Oak, Texas last April. Fire regenerates growth.

Many of your Aussie plants will onloy grow when a fire breaks open the seedpods... You have had fires for thousands of years - and floods too.

When will I see a blue sky like that again.
