20 Part of Federation Square

Melbourne, Australia

with in the background "Chapter House".
I love this Square and its buildings very much,
it feels very Australian.
It was BTW a very cold and windy day when I took this picture.

Wow, most unusual view and amazing juxtaposition of old and new. Fascinating image.

The combination of old and new is very nice. It proofs that it can be done.
The building on the left reminds me a lot of the new part of the Jewish Museum in Berlin. Perhaps the same architect?

I love how the cobblestone street is in the foreground and love all the new architecture with the old church in the center....wonderful composition!

Nice perspective and I like the pink sidewalk.

Lots of styles there. The one on the left reminds me of when many years ago every house in montreal had these steel covered sheds 2-3 stories high. They have all being torn down, to high a fire risk.

One day we'll get over your way and see the new Federation Square, it
looks so inviting in your photo Mieke!
