I saw this plant today at the Open Garden Scheme in Mt Waverly.
I had associations with European cow parsley.
My association was right it is the plant Angelica and related to the European plants.
Angelica has never been called by any other name. The name is paired with a legend of an angel appearing to a monk in a dream and revealing to him that a plant would cure the plague.
