Australian Landscapes

I live in one of the high density countries in the world. In 2003 I travelled along the Stuart Highway to Coober Pedy. Everything in the landscape was so new to me and so amazing. All what I could hear was the wind and all I could see was the horizon and nothing in between. So unuasal for a person, like me, who always is surrounded by concrete, neigbours and noise.
I was so impressed by the salt lakes. Against the very blue sky and surrounded by red earth, these lakes are giving a breathtaking view.
Also I discovered that in this landscape there are a lot of artefacts, totems and sacred places.
The wheat silo's towers high above the country side and they have a lot a beauty in theway they were constructed. They just look like the gumtrees with their very different shapes. No gumtree is the same
