Namibia 2005

These pictures were taken in the Ehi-rovipuka Conservancy (Kaokaland), 80 kilometers North of Kamanjab in Namibia. Many of the pictures in this gallery were taken by Gert van der Walt of Windhoek, Namibia.

Edited 6/06: When I put these up orginally I did not have time for much post-processing or editing. I have uploaded a very few additional images that are edits or re-processed versions. I apologize for the duplication. I should really cut this down to about 50 pictures or less but I have a lot of linked images out there and don't want the links to go bad.

Great pictures, Charles - maybe I'll try to hunt Namibia. Politically and crime-wise, I suspect it might be more stable than certain other places.

A tip from an old printer, though, in regard to the website. When reversing type in a dark background, it is much more readable if you use a bold face, preferably in a paler colour. When printing on paper, of course, this becomes critical if the plates don't line up.

Great pictures Charles! Namibia is a very diverse and facinating country. One of my favorites in Africa in fact.

I really like that last Gemsbok picture. Did't you do that watercolor effect in photo shop? If I ever have the opertunity to go to Africa, I'm leaving the guns home and taking cameras. A digital, med format and a panoramic.

Vaughan had the concession for several years but moved camp locations so I am not sure how long it was at this exact site. He has changed concessions this year.
