Driving down US 90 (Beach Blvd) in Biloxi you will see some unusual stainless-steel pods sitting off in the trees on the side of the road. These pods are part of a five building museum campus designed by architect Frank Gehry.
His vision was for the buildings to 'dance' within the ancient live oak trees. Construction started in 2004. Hurricane Katrina tossed a casino barge onto the property in 2005.
Today it houses the ceramics of George E. Ohr, the "Mad Potter of Biloxi" as well as exhibits of other artists. There is lots of information about the museum and the "Mad Potter" on the internet. Check it out.
