Frank Carillo's Bio reads like a who's-who in the music business. You can read it yourself on his website at www.frankcarillo.com. This 2004 recording of "Bad Out There" is my first exposure to him and I like it.

When I listen to "Bad Out There", I hear influences of Springsteen, Tom Waits, Dylan, John Hammond, and the like. I enjoyed the CD the first listen and it is getting quite a bit of air time around the house.

I have to look into his earlier material. He has had several bands of his own, played with Peter Frampton, the J. Giles Band, Cheap Trick, Van Halen, Tom Petty, and John Hammond. He has written songs with Carly Simon, Joan Jett & the Blackhawks, and Golden Earring. He was also in the movie "Prelude to a Kiss" with Meg Ryan and Alec Baldwin. Very interesting career!
