Presentation of the Flag

On Saturday, we attended a memorial service for my great-uncle Paul. He was an
officer and a gentleman. Putting aside my personal beliefs for the day, I was able to watch
the Honor Guard and see it as a moving and respectful ceremony and something he would
have loved.

(For critique purposes, I was actually asked to shoot photos of the honor guard, however, when it
came to this shot, I didn't feel like moving down in front of the other mourners to get the entire
flag. Now I wish that I had moved closer.)

I think you played it right. Go with your instinct on these things. Like Jeanne said, hard to know what the boundaries are... Very respectful.

not easy to know where the "boundries" are

Sorry for you loss.

Cheers to Uncle Paul. XXXX

I would have liked to have seen the flag in the photo too
but we get the picture without it.
