For the last two weekends I've been cleaning my home office. I don't meet clients
here so it's out of control. I had/have 10 years worth of design magazines, stock
photos catalogs and other magazines I've been holding on to just in case I needed
them, notes from college, client files backed up on CD, diskettes, software old and
new, broken or old modems, other computer peripherals, envelopes of photos,
pens, books and more.
I've finally decided to recycle a lot of this mess. If I haven't looked at the magazines
in the last year, good chance that I won't ever.
This stack is one of the last spots I have left to tackle. I worked on the bottom part
today, the area to the left of the cubes is empty for the first time in years. I can now
look in the drawers on the side of my desk without having to move stuff first.
Tomorrow I work on the last pile. Then I will have to go around the room one more time
to see what else I can get rid of.
Whew!
