Davis Mountains State Park

Davis Mountains is a beautiful area of west Texas, and is a convenient stopping place for trips to the western US from our home near Houston. We enjoyed the cool mountain air, the wildlife near our campsite, and of course the wonderful scenery. While it is not as spectacular as the national parks in Utah and Colorado, it is a very refreshing and mostly uncrowded place to visit in the spring and fall.
