North of Nairobi lies and area called Tigoni. It is comprised of tea plantations, who owe their existence to the British heritage of Kenya. Kenya is one of the largest exporters of tea in the world. It is a beautiful countryside, which stands in contrast to the other more well known wildlife area of Kenya, such as the Masai Mara. Located in this area is the Kiambethu Tea Farm, which has been owned by the same family since the early part of the 20th century. If you visit Nairobi, it is a must-see, and is located only 45 minutes north of the city. http://www.kiambethufarm.co.ke/
