Hermosa Beach, California

This is at the end of Hermosa's Pier Plaza. Ahead and to the left is the Pier itself. Just on the other side of this barricade is the Strand pathway. You can go right or left from here to walk along the path, ride your bike or rollerskate.
The path isn't wide enough for people to keep 6 feet apart so it's been closed. There are multi-million dollar homes all along the Strand so I'm wondering if they get to walk there. It is their neighborhood! I will have to ask my friends who live on or near there!

Excellent shot of the virus era sometimes I think we get carried away with some of the restrictions.

A scene that is repeated all over CA today, but now at least some of the beaches (city not state) are opening. Orange County are closed again though since so many people showed up last weekend and were not following the health dept. directives for social distancing.

Interesting documentary shot. Beach closures have been relaxed here because the residents behaved themselves. As of today we have to wear masks when leaving the house.

an entrance way to tempt any hurdlers...perhaps the local wealthy are happy not to have to mix with the hoi polloi..

A sign of the times. Some day it will be safe to call this image an artifact.

It's certainly imposing, and looks like it works. Good question about the residents, though. V.

A melancholy picture which symbolises the days we are going through. You are telling us many things thorough your photos.
