The first part of the subterranean tour takes you to the small Anatomic Theater with its oval amphitheater design. It was built between 1785 and 1787 to conduct anatomy lessons.
It’s one room with a marble table in the middle and stalls where the students would sit and listen to their lessons.
It’s an atmospheric place and you can easily imagine the corpse laid out on the table waiting to be dissected. It's very small and difficult to photograph.
My travel companion thought it was creepy. :-) It was kind of dark in there.
This is not underground. You visit this before going to the underground tunnels.
