A Tale of Two Tails

Los Angeles, California

Looking out the window in Terminal 4 at LAX this morning, I couldn't believe my eyes.
All I could get as an explanation is "Oh, it's a retro thing." Bet it was a little confusing
to the passengers bound for Mexico City on that plane!
Not a great iPhone photo but I had to send this to my TWA friends.

Apple iPhone 6
1/174s f/2.2 at 4.2mm iso32 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Great observation, Charlene. Going to venture a prediction that more than a few logos will be out of commission before the end of this year.

This really conveys the experience of waiting before boarding your flight. I have also not seen the TWA logo in a long time. Nicely captured. V

I flew to Vietnam on TWA in late March, 1967. The crew(s) on the flight were wonderful, and I've always had a fondness for them ever since. Great catch, Charlene! V

Isn't that from another plane that's blocked from view?
