Entrance to Armadale Castle

Isle of Skye, Scotland

This was an entrance to the castle and through it you see the remnants of the splendid staircase
originally built using local strath marble. A local plaque shows a picture of the original interior.
There were fan vaulted ceilings and gothic moldings. A stained glass window was at the top of this staircase.

Quite a beautiful gate, especially with the two colors of vegetation gracing it. V.
