Banteay Srei Temple, "Citadel of Women"

Angkor, Cambodia

This "pinkish" stone temple is outside the main temple area in Angkor. It is about a 45 minute drive to get there.
It is one of the smallest temples at Angkor but has some of the most intricate carvings to be found in Angkor. Begun in 967AD, it was rediscovered in 1914 and restoration took place in the 1930s.
