Gunther is a friendly 2 year-old male Pointer mix who came to Charlies's Place from a kill shelter in Arkansas. Gunther has been evaluated by a well known Colorado sportsman, hunter and trainer of sport and hunting dogs and deemed "a great dog for someone who is getting started in hunting and wants a good companion dog to train as a bird dog." Gunther's evaluation rated him obedient with commands, walking on a leash and other basic commands. He responded well on exposure to birds and training related to hunting but will need training to be a bird dog. He is very calm and loves people but would do best as an only dog.
