There are some old pier stanchions left remaining on the edge of the tide at Turf Locks. With lots of planning I realised that the birds always came to perch on them at high tide. Checking tide tables I was able to coincide a visit when the sun was in just the right position. After a long wait and 2 or 3 years planning I finally got the shots I was after.
