Yes that black bar could be distracting but here works not perfect but well and helps the whole composition. I must say that adore this creative and artistic shot and your cropping. Great idea and photographic eye! Many bravo. And definitely vote.

Find this an interesting picture , yet the black bar at the bottom distracting.
