Pointing North

The moon was cool tonight... near full and hoovering just above the horizon at sunset. No time to make it to the river and little inspiration. Only a cupola in sight, of course, there is always a cupola in sight.

Very pleasing shot! The smooth transition of delicate twilight tones,the last warm rays of sunlight,the bewitching luna cresting over the sharp architectural lines make this image a winner.Beautiful graphic simplicity :-) V!

Little inspiration! No one would know by looking at this. The cupola looks wonderful in that light and with the 'just right' weather vane.

That the cupola is grand goes without saying...Is that a lightning conductor leading down from the vane ?

Doesn't everyone love a cupola? Especially one with an ornate weathervane. Beautiful red tones and the juxtaposition of the moon and cupola is perfect.

The cupola is still beautiful and the night sky and moon are nice. It is a pretty moon but I couldn't make it to the river, either.
