In May 1998 while on a business trip from Tokyo to Singapore, I was able to stop over in South Vietnam for two days. I went back to the village where I had spent much time in 68-69 to see how things had changed. These are just a few of the photos that I took. More will be posted later. I was so touched by the kids, as these photos show. The village of An My is now called Phu My, but little else has changed in over 30 years. These photos were taken with the same camera (Canon FT/QL) that I purchased in 1968 in Vietnam.

I was very fascinated with your Vietnam pictures during the war and your return in 98s. As a kid I left Vietnam a week before the war ended in 75s. I looked at your pictures to see if I could remembered any thing during that time period but I was too young to remember much. I finally returned to Vietnam after 32years and was surprised to see how much it had changed. Those pictures of the kids reminded me of my early childhood in grade school in Ben Tre. These are my pictures from what I saw on my first trip back. www.pbase.com/longbachnguyen/vietnam. Great pictures on your galleries.

Thank you for your photo's I am very moved by them and want to thank you for putting up for us to view. I live in Australia as a direct consequence of the war you served in. One of my hobbies is photography so your series of photo's touches me on so many levels, you even took the more recent pics with the SAME CAMERA. Truly something.
Thanks again, Nolan.
