White's Bridge

White's Bridge Side View

Seeing as I couldn't get a better picture of the front I decided to see what I could get from the side.
The only problem was that there was too much follage and the slope down to the water was too steep and dangerous definitely not an option.
I found a big fallen log sloping downward to the water and started to walk out on it but then realized it was too slippery and I had to sit down.
Then I couldn't go back nor could I go forward there was another log across it that I couldn't get past.
I didn't have my cellphone on me so I couldn't call my husband or 911 I was stuck.
I took some pictures then finally jumped to the ground deciding if I broke my leg I'd just have to carry it up the hill.
Then I had to crawl up the wet slippery slope. I don't think that bridge liked me.

Your efforts yielded a fantastic shot! I suspect a lot of us come home with wet feet and muddy clothes, but few would have tried as hard as you.

Sounds like a real predicament! Your story made me laugh, Char. Sounds like something most of us serious photographers would do...not thinking of the consequences...just needing to get 'that' shot! It was well worth your experience. You captured a beautiful image! V~

You totally went out on a limb to get this shot. Is that photographers' courage or ...?
Love it Char and glad you got out without breaking anything! ~

Wow. you went all out for this image. I have done things that are not very wise but fortunately I could sit down and scoot my way back to shore. :-) V

That was quite an adventureous photo-shoot. You can be certain that no one else has ever photographed that bridge from this angle.
I am glad you did not get hurt. Great job.

What we don't do for the shot, eh? Funny story Char, and you lived to tell it. I've found myself in similar messes. You captured a very pretty Norman Rockwell moment for your efforts though!

That is quite some achievement for a photo. But you ended up with a wonderful shot. The foliage gives the image depth, it was not there for no reason. ~BV~
