This is a real gem alright. I personnaly love the little one with the orange hair ties. wonderful shot.

the only response to such a shot is to smile back!! if a person can't smile at this one they need comfort...cause this is such a spontaneously happy shot...(and whoever made that pink orca sweater is a gem)... ;)
in fact, now that think of it - that girl is a child after my oldest's heart - my oldest is very into Orca's and Snoopy... ;)
I took this picture some time ago in a small village way up in the hills of a remote Chinese village. The school bell rang just as I was passing. The door opened and all these little guys appeared with laughing noise that can only be described as eardrum-shuddering!
Compared with many of their age in richer parts of the world - materially, they have very little. Otherwise they are no less happy & probably have the kind of childhood many of our city young have lost.
