The Egyptian God Horus, is shown here in the ceremony of purification of the king by pouring libations over him.
The statue is made of bronze, with some other precious metals,
and dates from the 3rd Intermediate Period, which marked the end of the New Kingdom, and
created a period of political instability, ca. 1069-664 BC.
