For this image, I placed my camera on the floor directly under the oculus of the dome, and took a timed shot of the fresco.
This trick works great for ceilings of any kind. but I'll bet most of you know this trick !

The fresco of the "Last Judgement" was painted between 1572 and 1579 by the workshop of Giorgio Vasari and Frederico Zuccari.
The fresco depicts many scenes from the "Last Judgment"" with Christ in Glory seen at about the "6 o'clock" position near the center.
