There are endless gelato shops along the streets in Florence.
This one is one of several gelaterias along Por S. Maria, the street that crosses the Ponte Vecchio, and goes past the Mercato Nuevo.
The selections of gelato are seemingly endless, and the displays bottomless and piled high with the yummy dessert.

The finest gelato in Florence, and possibly in Italy, can be found at Vivolis, which is on a side street near Sta. Croce.
Their production is made "in house", as opposed to the more commercial varieties found at most gelaterias.
You would have to sample the offerings at several places to make your own taste test ! :-)
