A smile that cheered us on darkest days.
A laugh that encouraged us as we went our ways.
A hand that provided and guided, and led.
Strength of spirit conveyed in each word that you said.
A hug that soothed the tears and fears.
Of hundreds of little souls over the years.
Your wisdom directed so many young ones.
Teaching skills to children with lives just begun.
Your eyes through the lens of your camera did capture
God's wonders around us, arousing a rapture
Of love, and of peace and of joy in your friends,
Framed memoirs of beauty that just never ends.
Caring and sharing and wearing a smile
You fought the demons.
You went the long mile.
You were so strong and your battle was long.
But God called a new angel, "more help for above!"
So he beckoned you home
And embraced you with love.
And although we don't want to
We have to let go.
Dear Ana, we'll never forget you.
We all loved you so!

I'm so sad I wasn't able to join you all. It looks like a blast and reminds me of fun times in Yokosuka. Brandon, Dylan, Madison, and I are running the Race for the Cure in Denver on Sunday. We can't wait to proudly wear our Ana celebration t-shirts. Thank you all for celebrating such a wonderful person.
Much love,

It was great to see such a wonderful celebration of Ana's life. She had an impact on the lives of so many people. We were disappointed we couldn't attend the celebration, so we really enjoy this website.

What a great celebration for our courageous friend. Sorry to have missed it but my thoughts were there, and I did a special RI hike in honor. Wonderful photos, so good to see so many there to celebrate.

WOW! What a celebration! I know Ana was watching, smiling and laughing! Just wish I could have been there with all of you! I am in a walk/race for Breast Cancer this Saturday here on Okinawa but instead of the designated tee-shirt - I will be wearing "Ana's"! Love to You All!
