Gorgeous! I do love the knobbly shape of these oak leaves. They seem to be as big as sheets of notepaper. They are very tough leaves even when completely dry. Their rich color like tanned leather is quite striking against the bright green forest floor. Your photo gives me the feeling that I went along with you on your hike.
