Are the mushrooms conquering the Finnish forests? So it seems when walking in the forests at the end of September 2007 .. there are SO many different mushroom species, and plenty of every species. Probably only a small part of the mushrooms is edible... they cannot at least be found in the books of fungi I have available.. Or perhaps I have just been walking in wrong places.. Anyway, I find the mushrooms very fascinating in their polymorphism, and have tried to shoot them from an esthetic point of view.. If you recognize any of these mushrooms, I'd be grateful to get their names!

A treasure trove is what you have here, Ceya! I've seen mushroom associations online with fewer different sorts than you have here---and your photos are much better. I've never dared to pick wild mushrooms for consumption. There are too many awful stories of whole families needing liver transplants from easily made mistakes. However, I have a sense that you are quite familiar with the edible 'shrooms, so you must be able to enjoy them with confidence and gusto. It's a delightful collection of specialized plants that receive too little photographic attention. Well done!
