A classic estate name from the later 1800s is Frostfields (Wendall family) on what is now the Common, the building ("cottage") no longer there. Another classic is Kelp Rock, the name given in the 1870s by Edmund Clarence Stedman to his estate at the end of Wild Rose Lane, which is still there. The tradition continues, with various signs.
