The 2007 planting of Celia Thaxter's Island Garden
took place on June 12th, under the direction of
caretakers Pam and Mark Boutilier, with the rest of the
planting team consisting of Priscilla Chellis (public tour
leader), Mary Smith (public tour leader), Jo Hartford (volunteer),
and Keith Mills (volunteer).
Chris Robarge raises the annuals at the UNH greenhouses.
Willy Bemis, Director of the Shoals Marine Laboratory, provides
overall support and encouragement.
Images are organized in order as the day progressed (with exceptions).
Weather was excellent, mostly a high overcast, mixed with periods of sun
and two brief sprinkles. Temperature was in the mid-60s, with wind out of
the NE at 10-20 mph. Ed Spinney was the captain on the "Heiser" for the
trip out and back.
