Boon Island or Bust

This is a virtual version of a cruise undertaken by the Cameron from Harts Cove in the Piscataqua to Boon Island, on September 29, 2013. David Borden was the captain, with Nancy Borden as navigator and cook. Bill Drew and Jim Cerny were the supernumeraries.

It was a foggy start and a beautiful sunny finish. Conditions were unusually benign. Once at Boon Island there was a light and variable breeze under 5 mph, swells about 2 feet with a period of about 11 seconds. In sum, it was B-E-A-ootiful! Landing would have been very possible. Additional images are from the Kittery Historical and Naval Museum and views from the Nubble and Isles of Shoals.
