Susan Steckol Cohen passed away on November11, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was the eldest daughter of Sam and Ethel Salky Steckol of blessed memory. A loving mother, sister, and parent to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Her husband Charles J. Cohen of 46 years, her brother Hugh J. Steckol, her sister Dr. Karen F. Steckol and her grandson, Chase R. King, preceded her in death. She leaves a son, Hal L. Cohen, his wife Francois and three daughters, Madeline Francis, Emma Claire and Margaret Hughes Cohen, and a daughter Penne Cohen King Cromeans, her husband Mark and a daughter Emily Mackenzie and a son, Chance Walker. She also leaves two older granddaughters, Kristin Bailey Cromeans and Victoria Shelby Johnson, her husband Dylan and a great-grandchild, Parker Arynn Cromeans.
Graveside services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue. The family will be receiving friends and family at the home of Penne and Mark Cromeans following the service.
