A near record, 39 Warriors and their guests braved 100degree temps and the cramped accommodations at the Steak and Ale for a great meal and wonderful fellowship. The event was scheduled to honor Penny Dollar Campbell who, along with friends Dolores Jackson and Judy Stanford, left the cool climes of New Mexico to experience Memphis in August. Actually, Penny came to the River City from her new home in Brookville, Ohio.

Here a bit of trivia compliments of SupperClub regular Mike Hines. Prior to being called The Steak and Ale, its name was the Jolly Ox. Local codes prohibited the name of an alcoholic beverage from appearing in the name of a commercial establishment.

More input to the planning of the cruise scheduled for next June. Leonard has begun contacting travel agents.
