After Central, I went to Memphis State, graduating in 1967. Entered the Navy in 1968, became a Naval Aviator and spend the Vietnam War era in the San Francisco Bay Area flying transports throughout the West coast.
I intended to become an airline pilot after the navy, but when I left in the fall of 1972, the airlines were not hiring. I went to work for the family business in Jacksonville, Florida, and when the airlines called, was too happy where I was. This turned out to be a good life choice.
We are a real estate investment and management firm. We manage apartments and rental houses through out the Jacksonville area. I am President of Rivermont Realty, Inc.
I have been previously married a few times, but am now been very happily married to Laura Inman since 2003.
I have one son, Gabe Inman, born in 1971, and 3 grandsons all living in Memphis. I have one step daughter in Jacksonville with 1 grandson, and 1 stepson in Palm Coast, Florida. I have only visited Memphis for visits since 1968 so I have missed out on much that has taken place. I did attend the 25th, 40th & 45th reunion and look forward to the 50th.
I lived for over 22 years in Neptune Beach and presently live in Jacksonville, Florida near the intracoastal waterway, just a couple of miles from the beach.
As always you are the most handsome of our crew. I know you correct me calling you " uncle" but I find that badge of respect that I think....I know... you deserve. Everything I have achieved is because you and mom have opened the door for me. Actually...more you. Quietly because I do not have our family name. Just know this I would not be me if it were not for you.
