Dr. Linda Jean Hottum White, 72, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at her home. Dr. White was born in Memphis, TN to the late Henry and Dorothy Crizer Hottum on April 29, 1945. She had her PHD in nursing and taught nursing at Forsyth Technical Community College for over 30 years. She loved to paint and go to nice restaurants. Linda also was a big fan of Duke Basketball. Linda is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Thornton (Troy); Amy Fox (J.B.) and Susannah White; three grandchildren, Olivia Fox; Beatrice Fox and Grace Fowler. After completing graduate school at Vanderbilt in 1972, I married a young doctor in Memphis. We soon relocated to High Point, North Carolina. After 24 years of marriage and three lovely daugthers we parted ways. I then moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina where I have been teaching in a small college for 15 years.
My eldest daughter is an oncology nurse ( single). My second daughter will be attending Tulane Medical School in August and is engaged to a wonderful young man who resides in New York. The wedding will probably be in May 2004. My youngest daughter lives with me and works as a receptionist in a small locally owned business. Her very serious boyfriend is a Captain in the Army and is commander of a Bradley unit in Iraq.

I am completing my PhD and will be defending my dissertation before June. It has been a personal goal for years and finally I have had the opportunity to pursue.

I occasionally visit my Dad in Memphis but most often he visits us in North Carolina. I probably will not be able to attend the reunion but would love to hear from some of you as your time allows you to email.
